Making Your Product Stand Out By Creating A Unique Selling Proposition

Running an internet business is all about serving your online target market to the best of your ability. It doesn't really matter which niche you decide to target or what kind of solution your product offers--as long as you are able to give your customers what they are looking for and, at the same time, set yourself apart from your competition, you'll do well. The reason that so many internet businesses fail at finding good success is that they do not focus enough on figuring out their own emotional selling propositions. It's vital that you figure out where your product sits within your target market and how it is viewed by your target audience. Getting as much as possible from your business in the long term is dependent upon your ability to figure out your product or service's esp.

Time is Money - More than ever before, people have full schedules that they struggle to keep up with. Time is really turning out to be money because one who has time has money. That's why one of the best ways to show your prospects that your product is valuable is to demonstrate how it saves time for them.

If this is part of your esp, your product will immediately be of interest to your target audience. If your product is able to save time for customers, you can use this as a highly effective esp.

List Your Benefits: If you really want to be able to identify your product's esp, you need to know your product inside and out. No matter what your product might be, first work on your esp by making a list of all of the benefits that you offer with your product. List out these benefits on a piece of paper and sort them out so that you get closer to the biggest benefit. Once you have done the list this way, go through it again and delete any benefits that you don't think are very big. This then leads you to the major advantages of your product which you then turn into your emotional selling point--simple! Don't rush into this; try to analyze the product from every angle so that you know all the benefits firmly.

Customer Feedback Vitality: The feedback given to you by your customers is absolute and total gold. Go through every single piece of feedback that you get so that you can understand your product from your customer's point of view. While it doesn't take much time, the time you do spend doing this will be worth it in the end. Many times your clients will be able to point things out about your product that you might have missed. Using customer feedback will help you find your esp while simultaneously helping you raise your business up a level.

We've explored some of the reasons why it's essential to have a esp and some ways to use it. There are some good quality products being offered that aren't selling well because customers can't see what's emotional about them. The more you focus on differentiating yourself from the competition, the better value you will be able to give to your target audience and help them get the solution they're looking for. Simply creating a product and launching it in the market is not the key to success, but the real key is letting your target audience know why your product is really worth buying.
